Ann Arbor Wins Award for Efficient Lighting

The City of Ann Arbor has been awarded the Climate Innovation Invitational Award in recognition of the City's plan to install more efficient light bulbs in City-owned street lights downtown.

Councilman Greden worked with Mayor Hieftje to win passage of the City's plan to install the more efficient bulbs in partnership with the Downtown Development Authority.

The proposed water rate increase would be much less than increases facing residents in other Michigan cities. "We'd like to give Ann Arbor taxpayers a break," Greden said. The increases are used to fund badly-needed improvements to the City's water system infrastructure.  (Read the News article)
